        Stone Senate – 2/13/17

          This time we meet the band Stone Senate as our in-studio guests. Formed in Nashville in 2009, the band features that classic 70’s southern rock sound, and incorporates all the influences that have come since. While usually a full-on electric ensemble, Stone Senate performed an acoustic set for Acoustic Café!


          Jonatha Brooke – 2/6/17

            Jonatha Brooke returns to our studio this time to play songs from a new album called “Midnight Hallelujah.” After a one-woman show featuring an album of original music (2014), and an album built around the lyrics of Woody Guthrie (2007), “Midnight Hallelujah” is Jonatha’s first collection of new songs in about a decade!


            John Paul White – 1/30/17

              John Paul White is our in-studio guest on the show, playing songs from his new solo record “Beulah.” After his time in the Grammy winning duo The Civil Wars, John Paul went back home to Alabama to run his small label, reconnect with family and stay close to home… but new songs had other plans

                Langhorne Slim at St. Cecilia Music Center – 1/9/17

                  Langhorne Slim (Sean Scolnick) debuts new songs this week as our in-studio guest. Sean kicked off our 2016-17 Acoustic Café concert series at St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids, MI, and played us the new stuff in his session before his show back in November, 2016.


                  Jake Shimabukuro (w/Nolan Verner) – 1/2/17

                    Our first new show of the year features the wonderful instrumentalist Jake Shimabukuro. The world renowned ukulele player is joined by bassist Nolan Verner for selections from his new album “Nashville Sessions” and a beautiful Leonard Cohen cover.
