The extraordinary story and songs of Mon Rovia are featured this week, in a session recorded last month at East Nashville’s Fatback Sound. Mon and his trio played songs from his latest EP “Act 4: Atonement,” as well as an unreleased new song and more. Mon Rovia is a child of war, rescued from Liberia during their second civil war and brought to the U.S. His refugee tale is extremely timely.
