This time, in-studio guests The Decemberists share songs from their new album “I’ll Be Your Girl,” recorded 3/16/18 on a quick trip to Portland, Oregon. Colin Meloy discusses a broad range of topics, including the different sounds on the new album, working with a new producer, and the upcoming Traveler’s Rest festival that The Decemberists curate in Missoula, Montana. After our interview, we headed to The Decemberists’ rehearsal space to record the songs with Colin, joined by Nate, Jenny, John and Chris.
